God is Jesus Christ

WHY JESUS HAVE TO DIE

1. The Problem

All have sinned
Romans 3:23
23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

The Consequences of Sins:

Separation from God
Isaiah 59:2
But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.”

Sickness & Pain
Genesis 3:16
To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall  be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.”

Curse
Genesis 3:17
Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it. All the days of your life.

Barrenness
Genesis 3:18
Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for  you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. ”

Corruption
Mark 7:20–23
20 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

Bondages
John 8:34
Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.

Physical death
Genesis 3:19
“In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”

Romans 5:12-14
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned  from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

Penalty of sin is eternal death
Romans 6:23
23 “For the wages of sin isdeath, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

2. The Solution

All have sinned and the penalty of sin is death eternal death in hell. There is a need for someone who is without sin to redeem mankind from the penalty of sin. Only God fits the criteria. That’s why Jesus came from heaven to earth, humble Himself to become man and took our punishment to die on the cross in our place so we can have forgiveness of our sins once and for all and receive eternal Salvation.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.”

1 Peter 2:24
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

The Cross shows that You are infinitely valuable to God. You are so precious to God. God loves you so much. Never doubt His love for you.

3. The Result

The devil has been defeated
Hebrews 2:14
Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,”

 Colossians 2:15
Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over  them in it.”

Sanctification

Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”

Forgiveness
Ephesians 1:7
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”

Freedom of Life
(Free from bondages of sins, guilt, fear, etc).
John 8:36
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Justification
We are made righteous by Jesus sacrifice on the cross.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

Healing

Isaiah 53:5
But He waswounded for our transgressions, He wasbruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

Reconciliation with God
The veil has been torn, every believer can enter into God’s holy presence to have fellowship with Him.

Matthew 27:50-51
50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. 51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,”

2 Corinthians 5:19
that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”

Restoration
Our status is restored as the children of God, heirs of His kingdom.
The veil has been torn, we are made kings and priests for His Kingdom.

Galatians 4:4-7
4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,  to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out,  “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Revelation 1:5-6
5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,  6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Blessings
Jesus turned curses into blessings.

2 Corinthians 8:9
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”

The ground was cursed to bear thorns and thistles when Adam and Eve fall into sin.
However, Jesus bore the crown of thorns so we could receive blessings instead of curse.

Philippians 4:19
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Life to the fullest
John 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Eternal Life
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Glorification
Romans 8:30
“and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.”
