PURPOSE OF LIFE
We are created for God’s purpose:
The right way to discover the purpose of an invention is to ask the inventor. The same is true for discovering your life’s purpose: Ask God.
Colossians 1:1
“For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.”
WE ARE PLANNED FOR GOD’S PLEASURE.
Loving relationship with God.
Ephesians 1:5
“having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,”
We were created God’s image. We have body, soul, spirit. Our soul consists of mind, will and emotions. We are Spiritual beings. Our spirit can worship and communicate with God. God created human being to live eternally like God until they fall into sins.
Genesis 1:27
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
1 Thessalonian 5:23
“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
John 4:23-24
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Genesis 2:17
“but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
WE ARE CREATED TO MANAGE THE EARTH.
Take good care of the earth and develop on its resources.
Genesis 1:28
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it;
have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Genesis 2:15
Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
The Hebrew word is Abad means to work.
We are created in God’s image – given mind to think, imagine, create, store memory and have will in order to dominate, manage the earth & develop on its resources. The earth is rich with resources. Metals for building cars, machineries and aeroplanes. Timbers for making furniture and houses. Livestock, fishes and plantations for daily consumption.
WE ARE CREATED TO RAISE A GODLY FAMILY.
Genesis 1:28
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Ephesians 5:22-23
22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
Ephesians 5:25-27
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7
6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”
Ephesians 6:1-3
1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.
God created Human beings for a holy and loving relationship in marriage, giving them ability to reproduce in order to raise a Godly family.
WE ARE FORMED FOR GOD’S FAMILY, THE BODY OF CHRIST.

Romans 8:29
“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
Romans 12:4-5
4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
WE ARE CREATED TO BECOME LIKE CHRIST.
Grow in maturity developing Christ characters.
Ephesians 4:13
“until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”
WE ARE SHAPED FOR SERVING GOD.
Each one of us is given gifts for serving God.
1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
